Advising, Advancement, and Academic Access


Office of Academic Advisement

Need assistance settling on a major or creating your own course of study? OAA staff will help you navigate your options and make sure you stay on track to graduate on time.

Center for Academic Advancement

The CAA offers individual and group tutoring in the disciplines, as well as workshops ranging from creative writing and publishing to conversational foreign language. 

Office of Career Services

Counselors assist students and alumni in initial and ongoing professional development through services like resume help, interview prep, internship placement, and job search strategies.

Disability Services

MMC accommodates students with learning, physical, and/or psychological disabilities. Register with the Office of Disability Services to ensure you receive full support.

Academic Access

Open to students with documented learning disabilities, Academic Access is a fee-based program that provides individualized coaching, structure, and support to ensure the collegiate experience is positive and productive. 

Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP)

Since 1969, HEOP has helped high-achieving, low-income students with limited access to educational opportunities prepare for and thrive in college.

Bedford Hills College Program (BHCP)

MMC provides a program of study for incarcerated women at The Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, leading to Associate’s and Bachelors degrees.

 

Creative and Scholarly Resources


The Thomas J. Shanahan Library, Media Center, and Archives

The Library has a wide variety of journals, periodicals, and online databases, plus computer labs and study carrels. Located on the second floor of the Nugent Building, the Library also houses the Media Center and Archives.

The Theresa Lang Theatre

The Theresa Lang Theatre is a professionally equipped facility and performance space used by students as well as professional music, dance, theatre, and opera companies.

The Theresa Lang Center for Producing

The Theresa Lang Center for Producing is a creative space outfitted with audio, visual, and multimedia equipment and software, available to students interested in media studies and arts.

Ruth Smadbeck Communication and Learning Center

The Communication and Learning Center offers on-site supervision and training for students in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Hewitt Gallery of Art

The highly recognized showcase Gallery offers both well-known and emerging artists an opportunity for exposure within the art world and the MMC community.
