MMC and Me

Why did you choose to come to Marymount Manhattan?
Marymount has a good feeling about it, a kind of intimacy. You can really get to know your teachers and advisors, and that matters a great deal to me.

What activities do you participate in at MMC?
I like the student exhibitions; there's a lot of mutual support, and I think the students outside the art program appreciate them as well. I love how frequently I pass some artwork made by my fellow classmates on the way to class.

What has been your favorite class taken at the college? Why?

My favorite class was one called The Bible as Literature, which I enjoyed because I am not at all religious, but I felt totally welcome to express my opinions in class. I learned a great deal about a very difficult subject, and had fun.

Do you have a favorite memory from your time here so far?
My favorite memory is probably completing a sketch of a skull for a drawing class in my sophomore year; the confidence it gave me is one of the reasons I am now working towards being a professional artist.
