October 13: Volunteer with MMC at New York Cares Day

Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost: $10 discounted registration fee
Registration Information: Volunteers must register by October 5.
Each year, New York Cares brings 8,000 caring volunteers to over 100 New York City public schools for the city's largest day of volunteer service. Volunteers paint colorful murals, paint classrooms and hallways, brighten up playgrounds, reorganize libraries and storage rooms, and much more. If you would like to volunteer, go to www.NewYorkCaresDay.org. On the main page, select “Register.” Click “I Agree” on the waiver, then select “Join a Team.” Select “Marymount Manhattan College” from the list of existing teams. Once the registration is complete an email will be sent to Shelli Luchs, your Team Leader, letting her know that you have joined. The registration fee enables New York Cares to purchase the supplies and materials needed on October 13.
