What to Do if You Are Sick

Marymount Manhattan College partners with hospitals and clinics in the New York City community to help our students access high-level health services.

Below are a few of the available resources:

  1. A 24-hour nurse hotline is available to provide referral information and help increase communication between the students and their doctors (1-800-556-1555).
  2. As a compliment to our campus counseling center, there is a 24-hour mental health professional hotline provided by Aetna's Student Assistance Program (SAP). You can contact them at 1-877-351-7889 or visit the SAP on the web at www.AetnaSAP.com and enter your school ID: {MARYMOUNT}.
  3. If a student is participating in the Marymount Manhattan sanctioned health insurance program, they can search for a provider online at Aetna's Doc Find.
  4. *You can book a doctor or dental appointment online for fee. For more information about ZocDoc and to make an appointment visit www.zocdoc.com.
  5. *Accessible, convenient and affordable medical care is provided at 125 East 86th street (Lexington Ave) New, York, NY 10028. To find out more information about the medical services provided by DR Walk-In Medical Care please contact them at 1-866-366-3060 or visit them on the web at www.DRWALKIN.com.
  6. *Students can visit DOCS, a facility of Beth Israel Hospital which provides quality health services from their staff of registered nurses and physicians. Doctors see patients on a walk-in basis or by appointments. There are two locations:

57 East 34th St. (between Park and Madison), 1-212-252-6000
    202 West 23rd St. @ 7th Ave., 1-212-352-2600

For this and other health facilities available to MMC students through the physician referral service, Continuum Health Partners Hospital System, call 1-800-420-4004, or visit them on the web at www.wehealnewyork.org.
  7. *The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center is another location students are able to visit. The center is staffed by a committed team of doctors, nurses, social workers, health educators and other health staff who are there to help.

The Center provides an array of medical services, including check-ups, urgent/walk-in services and specialty services. Reproductive health services for males and females as well as counseling services on an individual, family and/or group therapy basis are also available.

In order to use the services provided by the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, students must be between the ages of 12 and 21, and new patients must be 19 years of age or younger.

All services are available regardless of your ability to pay. Medicaid and most other health insurance plans are accepted.

The center is open daily, Monday through Saturday and some evenings. It is always best to call for an appointment instead of just walking in, but if students have a medical concern that cannot wait, they should call the center's immediate care number to speak with a nurse.

For Medical and Reproductive Services, call 1-212-423-3000.
    For Counseling Services, call 1-212-423-2981.
    For Immediate Care, call 1-212-423-2999.

The Center is located at 312 East 94th St. between 1st and 2nd Avenues and is easily accessible by public transportation:
    • Take the #6 train to 96th St. and Lexington Ave.
    • Take the #4 train to 86th St. and Lexington Ave., then the #6 to 96th St.
    • The M15 bus runs uptown on 1st Ave.
    • The M15 bus runs downtown on 2nd Ave.
    • The M96 bus runs cross-town on 96th St.
The above facilities are just some of the services available to students. We suggest students select a healthcare facility that best meets their clinical and insurance needs.

*DISCLAIMER: These are suggested health care resources. Marymount Manhattan College does not endorse these providers.
