The Humanism Club
We are a group of young individuals seeking to educate and bring awareness to the student body on current and past genocides. Some of which include the Nazi Holocaust and the situation in Darfur. We are also going to relate those issues to today’s crimes against humanity that are smaller in scale and show people how things like hate crimes, discrimination and turning a blind eye to people in need may lead to large scale crimes against humanity.
To respond to these needs, we must do what we can as a group and try and end discrimination and prevent modern day anti-Semitism and racism. Raise awareness to the effects of racial profiling and homophobia. We will listen to our key stakeholders’ needs without any judgment. We will create a trusting environment in which we take all ideas into consideration.
We will show the value and importance of equality and human rights. We are a diverse culture open to all races, religion and sexual orientation.
