If you are an incoming new student at MMC and have been awarded the Gladys Brooks Foundation Scholarship, you will soon become acquainted with the Office of Student Activities. See below for a list of requirements to retain your scholarship throughout your years at MMC!

Renewal
  1. Maintain full-time status
  2. Cumulative grade point average of 2.8 (Academic assessment required Fall & Spring semesters)
  3. Award possible for Fall and Spring terms only up to four years
  4. Successful completion of scholarship requirements as per the Office of Student Activities

Year 1
Fall Semester
Participate in Leadership Development Workshop Series
Assist with Admissions Fall Open House

Spring Semester
Assist with Admissions Spring Open House
Assist with Admissions Accepted Students Reception

Year 2
Fall Semester
Research and Organize an MMC Day of Service
Assist with Admissions Fall Open House

Spring Semester
Setup, run and evaluate MMC Day of Service
Assist with Admissions Spring Open House
Assist with Admissions Accepted Students Reception

OR

Year 2
Fall Semester
Serve as a Peer Mentor for at least one FYM course
Assist with Admissions Fall Open House

Spring Semester
Complete 10 hours of Community Service
Assist with Admissions Spring Open House
Assist with Admissions Accepted Students Reception

Year 3
Fall Semester
Research, Organize and Plan MMC Leadership In-service

Spring Semester
Set-up and execute MMC Leadership In-service
Setup and breakdown of Leadership Awards Banquet

Year 4
Must maintain full-time status (12+ credits both Fall and Spring)
Must maintain 2.8 GPA and remain in good academic standing
