    You’re already a college graduate and you want to fulfill pre-med, pre-dental, and other pre-health course requirements. The Marymount Manhattan Post-Bac in Biology prepares you for medical, dental, nursing, veterinary, and other health programs.

    You’ll receive individual attention from expert professors in a close-knit liberal arts environment, right in the heart of New York City.

    We offer course sequences appropriate for M.D., D.O., P.A., P.T., R.N., D.V.M., D.D.S., and other allied health programs. You’ll choose from an array of biology, chemistry, physics, and math courses. We work closely with you to determine appropriate placement into courses based on academic experience and career goals.

    What You Will Learn

    The Biology Post-Baccalaureate curriculum is flexible and customized to meet your individual needs and career goals. You’ll choose from a selection of courses in:

    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Math
    • Physics

    You’ll work closely with our faculty advisors to determine appropriate placement into courses based on academic experience and career goals. Non-science courses are also available.

    Spring 2024 course offerings include: General Biology II with lab, General Chemistry II with lab, General Physics II with lab, Organic Chemistry II with lab, Human Physiology with lab, Cell and Molecular Biology with lab, Biochemistry, Bioethics, and Pre-Calculus.
    Anatomy with lab is offered in Summer 2024.

    Classes are made up of less than 20 students, and lab sections have a maximum capacity of 12. Students learn from full-time faculty who are experts in the field; no teaching assistants!

    A pre-health committee of faculty members guides students in career goals, entrance exam preparation, and application and reference letter processes. Priority applications to the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Touro College of Pharmacy through our partnership agreements.
