Division of Sciences Research Conference

Each spring the Psychology Club sponsors the Annual Sciences Division Research Conference to give students the opportunity to present their research to the Marymount Manhattan community and guests in a format similar to that found at major academic conferences. The Conference has become a major event at the College, attended by college-wide faculty, students and administrators, as well as by invited guests from other institutions.

International Honor Society

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Marymount Manhattan has had an active chapter of Psi Chi since 1979, and each spring we induct Psychology major honor students into the society.

MMC’s Psychology Club

The Psychology Club at Marymount Manhattan College is one of the most active organizations on campus and sponsors activities both on and off campus, from holiday events like ‘Tis the Season to be Jolly: Battle Your Seasonal Affective Disorder and Murder Mystery Halloween Parties, to Disability Awareness Week, to famous guest speakers, such as Dr. Debbie Joffe Ellis and Emily Perl Kingsley, to walks for important causes (i.e. The National Eating Disorder Awareness [NEDA] Walk, The Autism Awareness Walk, etc.). The Psychology Club boasts innovative programming throughout the academic year. Student members not only benefit from the exciting programming, but they have an opportunity to meet, chat, and consult with upperclassmen and faculty in the Psychology Department.
