Find Your Edge

  • When I think back at how I began my journey to becoming a speech-language pathologist, I cannot help but remember the wonderful program I was a part of at Marymount Manhattan College. Having the opportunity to begin my clinical experiences as an undergraduate made me stand out in my graduate school applications.

    Stephanie Alverio ’18

Class of 2018, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Major

  • I truly appreciate Marymount Manhattan College for its knowledgeable professors and variety of programs that have helped me further my goals in business and in acting.

    Rachel Summers ’16

Class of 2016, Double major in International Business and Marketing

Minors in Accounting and Theatre Arts

  • When I started at MMC as a playwriting major, I knew that I loved writing and theatre, but had never written a play and had no idea where to start. My classes at MMC taught me the skills I needed to piece together my playwriting tool belt, discover my creative process, and establish my individual voice as a writer.

    Shelby Solla ’18

2018, B.A. in Theatre Arts (Writing for the Stage)

    Meet Shelby
  • The Communication Arts major allowed me access to the full array of course offerings in the Communication and Media Arts Department. The department’s professors and facilities gave me the opportunity to experience communications practices, theory, and study side by side. The synergy of my classes gave me unique, invaluable knowledge of the breadth of the communications field and prepared me to better understand any role within it.

    Will Smith ’20

Class of 2020, Communication Arts major

  • I interned for Us Weekly, Christie’s Auction House, Times Square Alliance, and Seventeen Magazine. I’ve used my design skills in every position I’ve had. I’m glad I get to utilize my design passion and that I’ve been able to evolve with the ever-changing digital landscape.

One of the perks of being a Business student in NYC? The internships! Michelle Ledezma ’25 takes us along as she heads into her internship at the financial services company SMBC. A Finance and Management major and Economics and Accounting minor, Ledezma said the position and her courses keep her busy, but she loves how she's bridging her class work with real-world practice. "It's really nice that I can go to class and learn the principles and the foundation but then actually use them in my internship," she said. #GoGriffins #NYCCOLLEGE #accountingstudent #businessstudent

Check out these electrifying photos from @mmctheatrearts February production of IN TRANSIT. Be sure to swipe all the way to the end to see two of the musical’s writers (@sara.wordsworth and @jamez111) hanging out with the cast. They were gracious enough to attend the Sat production and stay afterward to chat. They were complimentary to everyone at MMC who put the production together and were impressed because they acknowledge how especially challenging this musical is. Major props to our theatre superstars! #MMCPROUD #GoGriffins #theatre #theatrestudent #NYCCOLLEGES
