Colette Mahoney, RSHM, Ph.D., was the fourth president of Marymount Manhattan College. She served as the College’s President from 1967 — 1988. She was a true leader and served Marymount Manhattan well during her tenure. The impact that she has had on so many students, faculty, and staff will never be forgotten.
Sister Colette’s wake will be held from 5:30 – 7:30pm on Tuesday, the 18th of June at the Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY 10591. At 7:30pm there will be a Vigil Service for approximately 35 minutes. The funeral mass will also be at the Convent at 10:30am, Wednesday the 19th of June.

The Power of Prison Education: MMC Marks Anniversary at Bedford Hills, Celebrates Program Alums
Though MMC has been the sole degree-granting institution for the college program at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Bedford Hills, New York, since 1997, this year holds special meaning for the relationship: September marks the 20th anniversary of when the program was officially deemed an extension campus of MMC. We’ll be celebrating and sharing the stories of Bedford Hills students and alums, like Monica Szlekovics ’09, all year long.
