Thanksgiving Gratitude: MMC Students Team Up to Help High School Students

Marymount Accounting and Business students give back to their community during Thanksgiving Break. Six Business majors worked with students from the Harlem Center for Education, breaking down every high schooler’s favorite subject: math.

A group of students from the Intermediate Managerial Accounting class (Acct 324) participated in a service learning project on Saturday, November 30th. Students actually came back from their break to participate in this event (some of them had to travel several hours). The students visited the Harlem Center for Education (HCE) where they delivered an interactive Budgeting Workshop to high school students. The workshop included a presentation on the benefits of budgeting and financial planning and instruction on preparing personal budgets.
