Study Fashion in the Fashion Capital of the World: MMC Announces New Programs in Fashion Studies and Fashion Marketing

From Fashion Ave. to Fashion Week, there’s no better way to kick start a career in fashion than to study in New York City. With established programs in Business, Communications, and Costume Design, Marymount Manhattan College is the perfect place to learn all the tools you need to excel in the world of style.

The Division of Business is proud to announce the creation of two new programs, Fashion Studies and Fashion Marketing.

Given New York City’s pre-eminence as an international fashion center, MMC’s new programs will utilize the city’s role in the worldwide fashion industry. MMC will bring students into the heart of the industry, giving students first-hand exposure to fashion design and marketing firms. “Students will attend fashion shows, visit fashion exhibits, and get to meet designers,” says Business Division Chair Professor Vandana Rao, “they will have their foot in the door well before graduation”

Students in the Business Division have successfully completed internships and assistantships with designers and companies from Bill Blass to Burberry and from Armani to Versace. Many graduates enjoy careers in fashion brand management, retailing, marketing, media, advertising, public relations and fashion design. MMC is excited to introduce programs valuable to Business students in forging career paths in these fields.
