Alumni News: Alyssa Johnson ’14 Gives Art Tours at MoMA PS1

July 29, 2014
Art History major and Studio Art minor, Alyssa Johnson ’14, is giving tours of contemporary art exhibitions at MoMA PS1, one of the oldest and largest nonprofit contemporary art institutions in the United States, located in Long Island City, New York.

One of our newest graduates, Alyssa Johnson ’14, developed her interest in art installation and curating as a student assistant in MMC’s Hewitt Gallery of Art. This in turn led her to a six-month internship at the prestigious MoMA PS1 working with the Registrar. Alyssa was hired right before graduation as a Visitor Services Associate. We recently found her giving tours of the current exhibitions to a group of curious and engaged visitors in the galleries.
