MMC to Host Orientation for Parents and Families of Incoming Students

New and returning students at Marymount Manhattan College are not the only ones gearing up for the Fall 2014 semester. On August 22, 23 and 24, parents of MMC students will also have the opportunity to get better acquainted with the College.

Each semester, new MMC students (first-year and transfer) participate in the College’s orientation program to learn about school policies, academic programs and life in New York City. Parents now have an orientation of their own, where they can learn more about staying informed and connected with their students. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet College President Judson R. Shaver, Ph.D. as well as members of the Marymount Manhattan administration, including Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Carol L. Jackson, Ph.D.; Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty David Podell, Ph.D. and Vice President for Institutional Advancement Marilyn Wilkie.

The College will host the Parents and Family Orientation and Reception in the Theresa Lang Theatre from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, August 22nd, Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th.
