Carol L. Jackson, Ph.D., has served as Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students since October 2008. In this role, Vice President Jackson oversees the Division of Student Affairs, supervising the offices of Academic Access, Campus Ministry, Community Service, the Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC), Disability Services, the Dow Zanghi Student Health Center, Residence Life, and Student Development and Activities. Among other things, Dr. Jackson and her team in Student Affairs are responsible for Griffin Days, New Student Orientation and Welcome Week, Family, Friends and Alumni Weekend, the Senior Awards Ceremony, and Commencement, as well as handling student and family issues and concerns.
Before coming to Marymount Manhattan College, Dr. Jackson served as Vice President for Student Affairs at the College of Staten Island, as Associate Dean of Students at LaGuardia Community College, and as Associate Director of Personal Counseling and Career Services at Brooklyn College, all colleges within The City University of New York (CUNY).
Dr. Jackson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, her master’s from Teacher’s College, Columbia University, and her doctorate in Counselor Education from Fordham University.
