Ashley Davis '06 Classroom Dedication
On June 8, members of the Marymount Manhattan College community gathered on the fourth floor of the
Nugent Building for the dedication of the Ashley Davis '06 Classroom. Warren and Ellen Davis P'06
donated $40,000 in support of the College's priority needs, including MMC's Smart Classroom
Initiative. In recognition of their generosity, the College agreed to name one of these new
classrooms in honor of their daughter, Ashley.
President Shaver, Vice President of Academic Affairs Dawn Weber,
Vice President of Institutional Advancement Margaret Minson and other members of the MMC faculty
and staff joined the Davis Family for the classroom dedication.
The Smart Classroom Initiative outfits existing Marymount Manhattan classrooms with up-to-date
technological resources. For many MMC students, access to technology is limited to the resources
the College provides. Smart classrooms maximize the ways in which MMC courses can incorporate
technological elements, including online research and webcasting.
