President's Medal Gala Benefit 2005
"Celebrating Education"

On Thurs. April 28, 2005 alumni, trustees, and friends of the College gathered at Jazz at Lincoln Center for Marymount Manhattan's annual President's Medal Dinner. The event, which honors distinguished members of the community, raised nearly $500,000. This year Russ Carson, husband of 2005 President's Medal recipient Judy Carson '03, generously matched the funds raised and rounded the total amount to $1 million. All funds will help the College continue to make a high quality liberal arts education an affordable option for a diverse body of students.

Master of Ceremonies was anchor Maurice DuBois (WCBS/2 News) and dinner co-chairs were Paul B. Guenther (Retired President, PaineWebber), Barbara McIntyre Hack, Esq. '73 and Paul C. Lowerre '81.

Seniors Anna Leigh Ashford '05 and Kathleen Hatch '05 wowed the audience with their magnificent vocals, which were accompanied by sophomore Nathan Atkinson on the piano.
