All full-time Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) students are required to have adequate health insurance that covers them in New York City.
There are a few steps all full-time students must take before the September 15, 2017 deadline.
This year, the College is offering a plan through United Healthcare. All full-time and international students are automatically billed for the plan. You can review the plan here.
If you are already covered by another insurance plan that will be useful to you while you are at College, you may complete an online WAIVER and have the charge removed. When you log on to the WAIVER site, have with you your student ID number and your insurance card. You will be asked to answer a few questions and enter your insurance information.
If you are interested in enrolling in the United Healthcare plan, log on to the insurance website and finalize the enrollment process by clicking on the “Enroll Now” tab and following a few simple steps. After you have completed the process, download your insurance ID card.
All students attending MMC on an F-1 visa are required to maintain this coverage. In rare instances, the College may make an exception. To inquire, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and attach an English-language copy of your insurance plan and proof of current coverage.
