Over 600 students call our residence halls home. Both buildings are a short walk or ride from campus.
Both of our residential buildings offer 24-hour security, a fitness center, laundry room, study lounge, cable TV, and wireless Internet, among other amenities that make life comfortable.
The 55th Street Residence Hall
Open primarily to incoming and transfer students, the 32-story high-rise houses more than 500 students in fully-furnished, two-bedroom apartments. Here you’ll share a living area, bathroom, and kitchenette with 3-6 roommates. The building is just steps away from the 4/5/6/E/M/N/Q/R subway lines and uptown, downtown, and crosstown buses, so the whole city is accessible with the swipe of a MetroCard.
The 1760 Residence Hall
Continuing students can opt to live in 1760, a modern building close to Central Park that offers doubles and triples with private bathrooms. Your room will be fully furnished, including a refrigerator and microwave, and you’ll have access to communal kitchens throughout the building.
For information about how to apply for housing at MMC, please visit the Office of Residence Life section of our website.
Some students choose to find their own apartment, often with friends and classmates. The 92Y offers reduced housing rates to MMC students, and you can find local postings on the bulletin board outside the Admissions office or online.
Consider enlisting the help of a management company or free apartment finding service to make sure you stay within your budget. However you go about finding your new home, make sure to explore the neighborhoods you’re interested in and do as much research as possible.
