Hewitt Gallery of Art

Hewitt Gallery of Art

The Hewitt Gallery of Art, located in the main esplanade and adjacent Black and White galleries in the Main and Nugent Buildings, is a highly recognized showcase gallery that offers both well-known and emerging artists an opportunity for exposure within the art world and the MMC community. Works reflecting a wide range of concerns, styles and media, such as painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, video, and multi-media installations, are exhibited on a monthly basis throughout the year.

The Hewitt Gallery is visited each year by hundreds of artists, critics, collectors, and curators. The visibility of innovative and challenging works of art throughout the College plays an important role in expanding the creative horizons of MMC students. Through internships and curatorial studies, students have the opportunity to participate directly in a professional gallery environment.
