Acting Alumna Directs Social-Distance Theatre Productions for Students
The Distance Theater Youth Collective brings together middle and high school students from the South Orange/Maplewood area to provide guidance and creative freedom in exploring the many facets of theatre production, such as dance, acting, music, and poetry. Brown ’17, who grew up in South Orange, is one of five actors who founded the Collective in order to give students a platform to express themselves during the pandemic. The Collective hopes to bring joy to both its students and audiences, seeking to better understand the complicated nature of a world in quarantine.
“Signs of Life” will be performed entirely outdoors with audience seating following strict social distancing guidelines. Masks and tickets are required to attend.
Interested in attending? Tickets are available now for free on Eventbrite.
Congratulations Nadia!
