Introducing MMC’s Senior Class Speaker
Aubreyne Brizette O. Tolentino is a first-generation college student and Filipina-American from Bergen County, New Jersey. Growing up in and out of New York City, she chose MMC for its tight-knit community and liberal arts curriculum. They majored in Theatre & New Media and Digital Media Video Production with a minor in Digital Journalism. While at Marymount Manhattan they served as founder and president of the Asian Pacific Islander Desi Association, vice president of Cinemaniacs, senator of Commuter Student Life for the Student Government Association, a peer leader, and tour guide in the Office of Admissions. Outside of MMC, they’ve spent the past three years doing work with Philippine-American organization FIND Inc. and GenZGirlGang as director of events and operations. They intend on continuing to work in events and producing.
They’re most proud of founding the Asian Pacific Islander Desi Association and spending the past four years creating intentional activations focused on community building. With the support of professors and mentors, she’s been able to bring these skills and events into the larger NYC community and implement them with companies like Instagram and Samsung.
Congrats, Aubreyne, and cheers to the class of 2022!
