Adjunct Professor of Dance Geoffrey Doig-Marx Publishes New Children’s Book

Adjunct Professor of Dance Geoffrey Doig-Marx has written and illustrated a new children’s book, Agnes and the Museum of Art.

Recommended for readers aged 8-9, the book follows the adventures of Agnes and her best friend, a stuffed rabbit named Mr. Filbert. The two spend the day at the Museum of Art, where Agnes soon finds that the paintings can talk—and it’s up to her to save them from boredom!

Doig-Marx is a professional dancer, choreographer, and company director who has performed on national and international tours and cruise ships, in regional theatres, and for film and television projects. His choreography work is in the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

A man of many talents, Doig-Marx has also worked as an actor, producer, artistic director, and writer. In particular, he is passionate about creating fine art and has had solo showings of his work in several New York venues, starting with Lanyon 36 Gallery in 2015.
