Lauren Roland ’16

Class of 2016, B.S. in Management and Finance

As a first generation college student, having professors and staff help guide my college career in the Business Department made a world of difference. I graduated MMC with a job in place and was ready to take on the workforce.

“During my time at MMC, I held several internships and completed an independent study as well. The support of the Business Department and my professors helped me during my college career as well as prepared me for post-college work. The Business Department was a tight knit community of professors and students who were all looking out for you. Each semester, I would speak with not only my advisor, but other professors in the department to choose classes and define my career goals. I can’t imagine not having the close faculty relationships I did while in college. As a first generation college student, having professors and staff help guide my college career in the Business Department made a world of difference. I graduated MMC with a job in place and was ready to take on the workforce. I owe this preparation to the staff and faculty of the MMC Business Department.”
