Spotlight Story

For Christina Daigneault 97, 2017 was a year to remember. To start, she received an Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship, a program that celebrates entrepreneurs who are committed to positive social impact. As one of 20 fellows globally, Daigneault spent nine days at Windsor Castle in England engaged in classes and conversation about social sciences and business innovation.

Last year also brought about the completion of Daigneault’s book, PLANT-POWERED BEAUTY, which became available nationwide in March 2018.

“Several years ago, I started to become mindful about how the ingredients we eat and introduce into our body’s ecosystem through the skin can impact our health. This took me on a journey to earn a certification in aromatherapy and start blending my own products. During this process, I worked closely with the founder of the New York Institute of Aromatherapy and we eventually decided to write a book to help others learn about the therapeutic properties in natural ingredients,” she says.

A person with many passions, Daigneault is also an attorney-mediator and the President and Founder of Orchard Strategies, a public relations firm. The Brooklyn resident says, “I credit my experiences at MMC for instilling an entrepreneurial zeal that gave me the courage to start my company and engage in a life of learning.”
