Lisa Tachick Hooper was born and raised in New Mexico and Colorado. She received her BFA Cum Laude from Marymount Manhattan College in 1995 and was the graduation recipient of the MMC Dance Medal. After college, Lisa danced professionally for ten years, freelancing with various independent NYC choreographers, the Albany Berkshire Ballet, Ballet Metropolitano de Caracas (Venezuela), Connecticut Ballet, Dance Galaxy, Chamber Dance Project, and in the Opening Ceremonies of the 1998 Winter Olympics (Japan). She has also staged works for Connecticut Ballet and Chamber Dance Project. Lisa continues to be a passionate supporter of dance. Lisa lives in Rye, New York, with her husband David, and three teenage children. Since moving to Rye in 2005, Lisa has been actively involved as a volunteer in her local community. For seven years, she produced and directed theater productions at her children’s grammar school. During COVID, Lisa began volunteering at Westchester’s Open Door Family Medical Center which provides fresh food to at-risk community members. Lisa serves on the Finance and Facilities Committee, the Institutional Advancement Committee, and the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.
