Mandarin Wu – Daily Dance Mandarin has been an MMC musical theatre faculty since 2017, teaching dance and the musical theatre summer intensive for students from Shu-Te University of Taiwan. Mandarin holds an MFA in Dance from NYU Tisch; a BA in Dance from University of California, Irvine, where she trained under Donald McKayle and Bob Boross. Select theatre directing and choreography credits: Romance of the Western Chamber (off-off Broadway), Helen (Pan Asian Rep NuWorks), Eastbound (NYTB Choreography Lab), Rapunzel (NAAP Discover), Tropical Angels (staged reading, Taichung National Theater of Taiwan). Select performance credits: A Dream of Red Pavilions (off-Broadway, Pan Asian Rep), Follies (dance captain, Astoria PAC), The King and I (Maltz Jupiter Theater, dir: Marcia Milgrom Dodge), O Brave New World: Shakespeare Live! (Bagaduce Theatre), Metropolitan Opera’s Orfeo ed Euridice (dancer, dir. Mark Morris). Mandarin has sung for the president of Taiwan, Madam Tsai IngWen; she is also a singer for Concerts in Motion. She is mentee to Baayork Lee and Raul Aranas.
