Jessica Schechter

About

Jessica Schechter is an award-winning director, actor, performer, and producer in New York City.  She has an MFA in Directing from the Actors Studio Drama School, and a bachelor’s degree in Educational Theatre from NYU. Schechter is a certified theatre teacher in New York State and has been acting, directing, and running drama programs for over 15 years. She is a director member of the renowned Actor’s Studio Playwrights-Directors unit and has worked with Tony and Emmy award- winning actors and directors.  Jessica is a resident director for the theater company Infinite Variety Productions (IVP) which specializes in telling the untold stories of women in history.  She is a professional voice over talent having voiced spots for Amazon, Samsung, PBS, Schneider Electric, and more. Jessica is currently producing and acting in the award-winning hit web series “Soon By You” and is an acclaimed speaker, improvisor, and stand-up comedian presenting at conferences and community centers around the country.
