Michael Mendez is thrilled to be making his directing debut at MMC. He was recently seen this summer, starring as Shrek at the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, and took part in the Broadway Bound workshop production of Water For Elephants.

New York credits: Chaplin (Broadway), Hey! Look Me Over (City Center Encores!), Fat Camp (Off-Broadway).

Some Regional Credits Include: Man of La Mancha at Westport Country Playhouse, How The Grinch Stole Christmas at The Old Globe, Damn Yankees at Goodspeed Opera House, Peter and the Starcatcher at Weston Playhouse, Billy Elliot at North Carolina Theatre, The Full Monty at American Music Theater of San Jose, and Paquito’s Christmas at the Kennedy Center.

Michael graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre and is in his final year working towards his MFA at the University of Idaho. Michael is an Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts, where he currently teaches Musical Theatre Techniques, Scene Into Song, and Musical Theatre Portfolio.
