You are creative and unique. You want to shout from the rooftops who you are and what you believe. You want to express yourself.

We’re here to listen, closely.

We want to know about you: the real you. Not just the tests you took or the grades you got. Tell us a story—the story of YOU.

Zero in on a moment in your life that shows how you’ve changed or lets you reflect. Tell us what excites you, what you’ve thought deeply about, what you strive for. Most of all, focus on YOU—how you felt, what you experienced, why you were transformed. It’s you we’re interested in. It’s your story we’re excited to hear.

At MMC, you are not a set of academic credentials. You are a whole person, and you deserve to be seen and known.

Our goal is to ensure access and equity in our admission process by eliminating obstacles you may face when completing the application process. To this end, MMC is test-optional for Fall 2023 domestic applicants and will no longer require an application fee.

Note, this policy does not affect academic scholarship offerings. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Admission.

New Yorkers who need assistance filing their returns this tax season are getting a helping hand from MMC’s Business students. The College is participating in the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides free tax preparation services to low-income filers, people with disabilities, and limited English speakers. Under a partnership with the Food Bank for New York City, MMC students are serving as VITA tax preparers at the organization’s Tax and Finance Center in Manhattan and for its remote tax prep service through April 15. Each student has passed IRS certification exams and undergone hours of training. Since 2011, more than 40 MMC Business students have volunteered for the program, collectively preparing over 500 income tax returns. The College’s participation this year was organized by Associate Professor of Accounting and Assistant Business Division Chair Andrea Tsentides, MBA, CPA, who enlisted three of her students for the effort: Christina Newland ’25, Alana Gallante ’24, and Peter Nierenhausen ’24 (pictured above). One of the perks of being a Business student in NYC? The internships! Michelle Ledezma ’25 takes us along as she heads into her internship at the financial services company SMBC. A Finance and Management major and Economics and Accounting minor, Ledezma said the position and her courses keep her busy, but she loves how she's bridging her class work with real-world practice. "It's really nice that I can go to class and learn the principles and the foundation but then actually use them in my internship," she said. #GoGriffins #NYCCOLLEGE #accountingstudent #businessstudent
