You are creative and unique. You want to shout from the rooftops who you are and what you believe. You want to express yourself.

We’re here to listen, closely.

We want to know about you: the real you. Not just the tests you took or the grades you got. Tell us a story—the story of YOU.

Zero in on a moment in your life that shows how you’ve changed or lets you reflect. Tell us what excites you, what you’ve thought deeply about, what you strive for. Most of all, focus on YOU—how you felt, what you experienced, why you were transformed. It’s you we’re interested in. It’s your story we’re excited to hear.

At MMC, you are not a set of academic credentials. You are a whole person, and you deserve to be seen and known.

Our goal is to ensure access and equity in our admission process by eliminating obstacles you may face when completing the application process. Effective immediately, MMC will be test-optional for Fall 2021 domestic applicants. We are reviewing our policy for international admission.

Note this new policy does not affect Fall 2021 scholarship offerings. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Admission.

All of us at MMC are excited for the return to campus this August, with plans to have 80 percent of our classes in-person or blended. As announced a few weeks ago, the College is requiring all students to submit vaccination information or an application for exception. We’re happy to announce that this submission process is now ready! Please check your MMC email for info from the College’s Health and Safety team with more details, as well as important updates to our campus protocols. A direct link to our vaccination webpage can be found at the link in our bio. COVID vaccines are safe and effective. Help us get back to what we love doing – like enjoying the sunshine with friends on the terrace! #GoGriffins #GettheShot #COVID19 #MarymountManhattan

It’s definitely summer in NYC Be careful in the heat this week and be sure to stay hydrated, Griffins!
This week’s #Throwback photo shows a massive crowd of NYC Pride Parade participants in Manhattan during the 25th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising in 1994. This coming weekend in New York City will see the 51st Annual Pride Parade and will honor the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The riots began in the early morning of June 28, 1969 in response to a police raid — which were common in the 60s — and violence against the popular bar's queer patrons. Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, both trans women of color, and Stormé DeLarverie, a biracial lesbian, are often credited for starting the riots, which in turn kicked off the United States’ larger and decades-long Gay Rights movement. Pride would not be what it is without these women. This year’s theme, "The Fight Continues," reflects the multitude of battles our country and city have fought this past year, including the coronavirus pandemic, police brutality, violence again trans POC, economic hardship, climate disasters, voting and civil rights issues, and more. While there is much more work to be done, we wish our entire community a safe, healthy, and joyful Pride celebration! 🏳️‍🌈 #mmcsoproud #Pride #PrideHistory #MarymountManhattanCollege

MMC is excited to announce the opening of the College’s new Intercultural Center. Located in Carson Hall 412, the IC will serve as a space of safety and empowerment for students from systemically minoritized groups across intersecting identities, including race, ethnicity, nationality/geographic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, socioeconomic status, faith, creed, ability, and age.   The IC will continue to provide a dedicated prayer room and programming related to religion and spirituality as vital elements of culture.   The IC will be integral to supporting and sustaining our collective efforts to cultivate an authentically diverse and inclusive campus environment by providing a wide array of resources, programming, and experiences focused on community building, social support, and social justice competency. Thank you to the IC Development Team and all of those who made this important space possible. Learn more about the space at mmm.edu/IC. We look forward to seeing you there!

Happy Juneteenth, MMC! In 2020, Juneteenth became an official College holiday for all students, faculty, and staff to honor freedom and the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. This year, we continue the tradition and will observe Juneteenth on Monday, June 21. Our Main Campus buildings and administrative offices will be closed, and classes will not meet. Juneteenth continues to serve as a celebration of Black heritage, history, and pride, and MMC proudly pays tribute to the generations of activists who have made the holiday possible and long-lasting.
