Linkage Programs

Marymount Manhattan College maintains linkage agreements with Thomas Jefferson University and Touro University. Under these agreements, MMC’s pre-health students may receive additional support and priority consideration in applying to the programs listed below. (No offer of admission is guaranteed; all final decisions regarding admissions are at the sole discretion of Thomas Jefferson University and Touro University.) Email Eugene Rubin, MMC’s pre-health advisor, for more information and guidance in applying.

Thomas Jefferson University

Masters in Community and Trauma Counseling Program with Art Therapy Concentration

This agreement provides a clear path to admissions in the Jefferson University program for rising juniors/seniors who will have earned a bachelor’s degree from MMC prior to enrolling at Jefferson. That includes a guaranteed interview if certain criteria are met, including a minimum 3.0 overall GPA; the required pre-requisite courses; an art portfolio according to portfolio criteria; one letter of recommendation from an academic representative at MMC; and applying via Jefferson’s online application (including criteria on website).

Touro University

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program

Touro University College of Pharmacy (TCOP) and Marymount Manhattan College offer a 3+4 accelerated degree program that allows students to begin working toward a doctorate in pharmacy while completing their undergraduate degree. Qualified MMC students apply for admission to Touro’s PharmD program after finishing their junior year. If accepted, they’ll essentially bypass their senior year at MMC and enter their first year at TCOP. Students who successfully complete the first year at TCOP can then use their credits from the program to meet the requirements for an MMC baccalaureate degree.

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program

This is a unique opportunity for MMC students planning for a career as a DPT. Physical therapists are healthcare professionals who are experts in movement and movement dysfunction. They work one-on-one with patients to restore function, eliminate disability, and help people improve their quality of life. MMC students who are interested in pursuing a DPT degree and meet the program’s requirements will receive a priority review of their application, dedicated assistance from Touro University’s admissions department, and a guaranteed interview.

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) Program

Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM) encourages qualified MMC students and graduates to apply for admission to its D.O. program. TouroCOM offers an opportunity for MMC students to apply for admission with guidance from Touro’s admissions department and receive an interview. The offer of an interview will follow the determination by TouroCOM that the required prerequisite coursework has been completed, the composite and science GPA and MCAT score meet its standards, and the application is complete.
