Advisory Board

As part of  Marymount Manhattan College’s CityEdge program, each academic department sponsors an Advisory Board composed of accomplished professionals from across New York City with relevant knowledge, experience, and expertise in fields related to our respective programs. Our Business Advisory Board Members provide insight on the current and future state of their industry, assist with external relations and outreach to the industry, support career development initiatives, and identify job openings, internships and other professional opportunities for our students.

    Director, Equity Research, Cloud Computing and Software, Deutsche Bank Securities

    Amladi has covered the software sector since joining Deutsche Bank in July 2007. The coverage thematically focuses on SaaS & Cloud Computing, Analytics, Enterprise Software, and Security Software. Prior to joining DB, Amladi spent over 15 years in the technology industry, with technical and business roles in enterprise and telecom software. Amladi holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.

    Assistant Vice President, Citigroup

    Balsamo currently works for CitiGroup’s commercial bank in the Middle Market sector (companies $50MM-$750MM in revenue). Balsamo works with the Mid-Atlantic relationship management team where he completes client pitch materials, credit approval packages, helps drive deal execution, and evaluates company financial strengths and industry market trends. Balsamo specializes in the automotive and forest, paper, and packaging products industry. Prior to his current role, Balsamo lived in Dallas, Texas where he worked as a risk analyst to measure loan product risk for middle market clients nationwide. Blake graduated from MMC in 2015 with Bachelors of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Economics.

    Financial Advisor, The Klein Group, Merrill Lynch, Pirerce, Fenner & Smith Inc.

    Burt is an MMC graduate from the class of 2011, and a Merrill Lynch financial advisor. Burt has worked for Bank of America since 2010, and is now part of the Klein Group wealth management team. He specializes in retirement planning and investments for artists, musicians, and entertainers. Burt lives with his wife, Kim, and their two cats on the Upper East Side.

    Parums Christian Dior

    Maniscalco is an MMC graduate of the class of 2002. During her time at Marymount, she was exposed to a wide range of experiences and companies that provided her with the knowledge to pursue a career she is passionate about. Maniscalco has worked in the beauty industry for eight years in a variety of positions. She is currently the Director of Retail Events at Christian Dior Perfumes and Cosmetics within the LVMH corporation.

    Viacom

    McDonald graduated from MMC in 2015 with a major in Business, concentrated in Media and Arts Management, and a minor in Philosophy.  She currently works for Viacom’s Spike network, soon to be Paramount Network, as a Production Coordinator for East Coast sports, events, and series.  Most recently, she contributed to the success of the 2017 CMT Music Awards, One Night Only with Alec Baldwin, & seasons 2 and 3 of Lip Sync Battle.

    McNamara ’03, who is Associate Director of Global Markets Intelligence at Ipreo, has spent the last eight years in investor relations working with publicly traded companies.

    Rubio has an extensive background working in community services and education with cultural and theatre arts.  She is a graduate of Boston College in Theatre Arts and Communication.

    With over 30 years of advertising/marketing experience, Tsugranis has a passion for brand development and an unwavering commitment to his clients. He has successfully created and implemented employer branding/communication solutions for a wide range of Fortune 500 companies.  Driven to be the best part of his clients’ days, his ability to lead and inspire teams, coupled with a penchant to always ask, “What if…” have led to the development of award-winning strategic solutions.  He holds a B.A. in Journalism from New York University.

    Webber, MMC class of 2012, graduated with a degree in Business Management. He has worked in marketing and management and is presently an enterprise account manager and a team lead in the Client Success Management Team at Stella Services.

     Emmy® Award-winning Fashion-Stylist, Writer, and Entrepreneur

    Zyla has collaborated with some of the most recognizable faces of contemporary culture, including Tom Hanks, Susan Lucci, Neil Patrick Harris, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Carol Burnett. In addition to designing his own namesake fashion line for Bergdorf Goodman, he has designed costumes for Broadway, off-Broadway and film, as well as ABC’s All My Children (2010 Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design Emmy® Award), General Hospital, Port Charles and Lifetime’s Devious Maids. He is the best selling author of Color Your Style (Plume) and How to Win at Shopping (Workman). He attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
