Communication is a versatile area of study that complements many majors.
The Communication and Media Arts minor provides students fundamental skills in this growing field. The curriculum builds a strong foundation on which students select from a wide range of elective options that allows students to design their course of study in relation to their career goals and their curricular needs.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA ARTS MINOR:

Choose One of the Following:
|COMM 131: Survey of Film and Video||3|
|COMM 230: Cultural History of Media||3|
Three additional COMM courses are also required, at least two of which must be at the 300-level.

Students may take up to 15 credits of Internships and Independent Studies combined. A maximum of 3 Internship credits can be applied towards the major. Independent Studies cannot be applied towards the major

She continued on to receive her MBA in Business and Economic Reporting from New York University. She is currently a breaking news and energy markets reporter with <em>Bloomberg News</em>.
