    Susan Behrens, Ph.D., Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), along with two CSD students Ailyn Gomez ’19 and Jessica Krimgold ’19 (who just graduated in May), will be published in the peer-reviewed journal Research and Teaching in Developmental Education.

    On Friday, May 17, 2019, Marymount Manhattan College graduated nearly 400 Bachelor degree recipients at its 70th Commencement Exercises, held this year at Lincoln Center’s iconic David Geffen Hall.

    Jessica Krimgold ’19 and Ailyn Gomez ’19, both Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SLP-A) majors and Language Science minors, were selected as finalists in the student research category at the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA) Annual Convention, held May 2–4 in Albany.

    On March 11, MMC’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) presented a powerful panel discussion featuring clients from the College’s on-campus clinic, the Ruth Smadbeck Communication and Learning Center, as a way to give students a glimpse into life as a professional speech-language pathologist serving clients struggling with speech and communication disorders.

    Four students (Rita Castillo, Renee Royles, Abigail Hambidge, and Kali Wright) from the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) Department were accompanied by the CSD Director for Clinical Education and Clinical Services, Denise Cruz, MA, CCC-SLP, to Washington D.C. to take part in the American Speech-Language Hearing Association ASHA’s Student Hill Day on Capitol Hill.
