Dance Gala Fund
Mission Statement
The Dance Gala Fund provides enhanced experiences for Marymount Manhattan College’s Dance Department students enrolled in its BA and BFA programs.
These include:

Support of scholarships such as:
- The Glorianne Jackson Scholarship which benefits dance students from underrepresented communities
- The Michael McArthur Memorial Scholarship which allows a young talented dancer(s) to attain an undergraduate degree in Dance regardless of financial hardship; the scholarship is merit-based and financial need must be demonstrated - Intensive intersession workshops with noted teachers and choreographers
- Acquisition of performance and music rights to challenging works used for Spring semester productions and the Annual Gala performances
- Enhanced technical aspects of Annual Dance Gala productions
- Community outreach
- Lectures on dance topics such as new directives in dance, dance therapy, etc.
