Minor: Child Development and Creative Media

The Child Development and Creative Media minor allows students to explore key areas in psychology and child development, as well as the children’s media landscape.

The program offers two tracks: one through a theoretical and cultural lens and the other through television, video, and creative media production. Students who pursue the “theoretical track” of the minor will delve into children’s media culture, literature and communication, while students pursuing the “production track” will begin to learn how to produce in the children’s media space.

Courses in this 18-credit program include not just general foundational psychology and communication courses, but niche subject areas including art and drama therapy, creative writing, and TV studio production, among others. Check out the full list of options at the link below.
