In honor of #GivingTuesday and in partnership with The LGBT Community Center, on Saturday, November 16, the MMC community created over 50 care packages of socks, gloves, hand warmers, and more for young people and families this holiday season— THANK YOU!
The LGBT Community Center has been a home and resource hub for youth of all identities since its founding in 1983, providing a supportive, safe space and educational events for the greater New York City community.
It’s never too late to support MMC’s #GivingTuesday efforts—make a gift below!
What is #givingTuesday?
Marymount Manhattan College participates in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
Where Your Gift Goes.
Your contribution supports MMC’s Annual Fund, which provides flexible and immediate funds for the most critical areas of student and faculty need, including financial aid, campus improvements, academic programming, and more. Your generosity goes a long way to help our college community.
How You Can Help.
Volunteer. Keep a lookout for upcoming service events and sign up to volunteer!
Donate. Every gift, regardless of the size, directly benefits our students!
Help spread the word. Use #MMCGives and #GivingTuesday and tell your friends and family why you are giving back to MMC this year. We hope you continue to keep Marymount Manhattan in your thoughts this holiday season.
