Cultural Peer Mentor Program

Cultural Peer Mentors (CPMs) are student leaders who help new international students become acclimated to Marymount Manhattan College and to the larger New York City community. They are role models, advisors, and friends, but most of all, they are students themselves who care about helping their classmates from abroad integrate seamlessly into college life.

Meet the Cultural Peer Mentors

  • Emily A.

    Pronouns: She/her
    Major: BFA Acting Third Year
About Me: I am Brazilian American and fun fact about me is that I speak Portuguese! I decided to be a part of the IC’s mentorship programs because I knowing how hard it is to transition into college. I wanted to be that person that students can rely on. It’s not easy figuring out everything on your own and just knowing that there are other people who are going through the same thing is really refreshing.
