The Institute for Pre-College and Advanced Study at Marymount Manhattan College (MMC), located at 221 East 71st Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, announces the launch of the Women in Leadership Series.
These one-day workshops focus on promoting women as leaders in various professional fields. Each workshop meets for a full day (typically on Friday) from 9:00AM-5:00PM with a working lunch and closing reception. Expert professors convene the workshops and invite guest speakers to participate in these sessions. The workshops typically include lectures and panel discussions featuring experts in the field, discussions led by the convening professor, and formal and informal opportunities for conversation and professional networking.
These sessions are ideal for working professionals who want to pursue opportunities for advancement within their fields and who are eager to build relationships with others. They also present unique learning and networking opportunities for students as they anticipate entering their chosen profession.

Women’s Leadership in Business
This workshop traces the trajectory of women entering and occupying prominent roles in the global labor force over the last 50 years and its ongoing challenges. The advancement of women from employees to employers and leaders has extensive impact for the social and economic foundations of a country. This workshop is designed to assist students in developing an educated viewpoint on the dynamic challenges facing women as they enter and rise to leadership positions in various types of organizations. Students will walk away with real-world examples of how women have reached the top ranks in business and how to apply those skills to their own careers.
