DATE & TIME: 12:00pm - 1:00pm EDT September 26
LOCATION: Regina Peruggi Rom
We celebrate Latinx Heritage Month to pay tribute to the generations of Latinx  who have positively influenced, enriched, and contributed to our nation and society.

The month begins on September 15th as it coincides with the independence of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Please join the Student Activities Advisory Board and the Office of Student Development and Activities for their LatinX Heritage Month event happening on Wednesday, September 26 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the Regina Peruggi Room

We are bringing in Councilwoman Carlina Rivera, who was born and raised in Lower Manhattan by a single mother who emigrated from Puerto Rico to New York and has worked for decades as a civil-servant. There will also be spoken word performed by our own MMC students as well as appetizers catered by Upper East Side’s Empanada Mama.

Registration for this event is now closed.
