What Pentacle Does…
Pentacle’s mission is to design and provide unique and robust programs, for performing artists
at critical stages in their careers. At the same time, Pentacle enriches the cultural landscape
through cross-sector partnerships in multiple communities across the city of New York and the
Since 1976, Pentacle has been a model in the arts administration field, enabling performing
artists to focus on what they do best - create art and engage with audiences.
Pentacle’s Internship program seeks college students and recent graduates who are passionate about the arts, and interested in expanding their knowledge of the nonprofit arts sector.
Selected interns are placed with a participating artist, dance company, or nonprofit arts
organization that shares their interests and goals. Throughout the program, interns gain
hands-on experience in nonprofit business practices, and attend weekly Professional
Development seminars led by Pentacle staff members and visiting arts professionals. Through
these seminars, interns have an opportunity to build their administrative skills, learn from their
peers, and network with industry leaders.
