Domestic Violence and Incarceration of Women

This discussion will focus on domestic violence, its tenets and nature, as one of the main factors that resulted in the incarceration of women. It will also examine the disparate rates of incarceration of women of color, as a component of the war on drugs and systemic oppressive tool. Attendees will be engaged on the usefulness of mass incarceration or lack there of in modern society, with a focus on restorative justice.
