Race and Class in the Web of Life

DATE & TIME: 2:30pm - 3:30pm EDT October 14

The Sunrise Movement is transforming US politics and the collective imagination of how to address climate emergency. The Brazilian Landless Workers Movement (MST) is widely considered one of the most effective social movements on the planet - and has become a global leader in democratizing food systems and supporting sustainable agriculture.

This will be the first meeting between these two important movements. Dejah Bradshaw (Sunrise NYC Just Hubs Coordinator) and Jose Luis Rodrigues (MST International Brigade) will share each movement’s practice of how they engage race and class as integral to social and ecological transformation.
