Miriam Parker has worked in book publishing for more than twenty years and is currently the VP, Associate Publisher of Ecco, an imprint at Harper Collins. In her career she has worked with bestselling and award-winning authors such Anthony Bourdain, Amy Tan, Natasha Trethewey, Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney, Rumaan Alam, Questlove, Ed Yong, Kevin Wilson, Benjamin Moser, Louise Gluck, David Sedaris, Elin Hilderbrand, Malcolm Gladwell, Donna Tartt, David Baldacci, Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson, David Perlmutter, Walter Mosley, and Michael Connelly. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from UNC Wilmington and a BA in English from Columbia University. She is also the author of The Shortest Way Home, a novel published by Dutton and her second novel Room & Board is forthcoming from Dutton in 2022.
Sue Fleming is the Vice President, Executive Director of Corporate Marketing for Simon & Schuster. She develops and maintains the strategy for several key marketing programs supporting all divisions of Simon & Schuster, including Adult, Children’s, and Audio. She manages the teams that provide editorial direction of all content on the company’s consumer-facing site, simonandschuster.com, and newsletter programs; curates and manages book content for all proprietary verticals and backlist retail marketing and manages creation, production, and syndication of all video and digital design content to Simon & Schuster sites and various marketing partners. She was named one of the 50 Top Women In Publishing by Book Business Magazine.
