Marymount Manhattan College is known for many great things, but it is commonly known for its sense of community. Clubs and organizations work together to promote community as well as to empower the student body. One club in particular, the Marymount Microfinance Initiative (MMFI) Club, strives to encourage both young entrepreneurs and start-up businesses. The students in this club aim to connect our community with passionate, driven entrepreneurs. The club meets their goal by holding fun and engaging events, like their annual fashion show. On April 26th, the Marymount Microfinance Initiative and the MMC Business Division organized a fashion show in the Great Hall. The show was entitled Couleur. Student models ― from all years, ethnicities, and majors ― were dressed in clothing designed by Eldior Sodeck, a woman entrepreneur living in New York City. Her outfits presented an afro-urban theme, ranging from vibrant colors to a variety of patterns.
