EWL Major Writes Off-Broadway Play, “Blue”

English and World Literatures senior (and Playwriting double-major) Penny Pun’s short play Blue has been included in Pan Asia Rep’s NuWORKS 2017, as part of their six-performance run at The Studio Theatre on 42nd Street.

Pun’s piece is set to run in Program B on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 at 7:30pm and on Saturday, April 29 at 2:30pm. For tickets, visit their official Telecharge website

NuWORKS 2017 Summary

Pan Asian Rep’s NuWORKS 2017 presents a diverse range of original work from artists exploring different genres and techniques. Two artists are presented in Programs A and B, each of which runs approximately 75 minutes with no intermission.

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, led by Artistic Producing Director Tisa Chang in its 40th Milestone Season continues its commitment to artists creating new works that explore different genres and techniques with NUWORKS 2017: from comedy, to Butoh dance, to existential drama, and an homage to the art of math, NuWORKS 2017 runs for 6 performances from April 26-30 at the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street). Curated by Ernest Abuba, Richard Chang, Tisa Chang, and Damon Chua, with a brief Q&A to follow each performance.
