Two MMC Students Selected as 2017 Jeannette K. Watson Fellows

MMC is proud to announce that two of our students, Amanda Anzovino ’19 and Jennifer Acevedo ’19, have been selected to receive the prestigious Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship. The Fellowship is granted to NYC undergraduate students who have demonstrated academic and extracurricular excellence, and offers three consecutive summers of paid internships, one of which is abroad. In addition, students have access to mentoring and enriched educational opportunities to prepare for graduate school, future careers, and other leadership roles.

Anzovino, a Manahawkin, New Jersey native, is earning a degree in psychology, while pursuing minors in forensic psychology and social work. She has truly immersed herself in the college experience, seeking leadership roles such as Resident Assistant and Vice President of the Psychology Club, and giving back to her community as a volunteer for service organizations such as Marymount Muscle and Advocates for Wellness Education.

Acevedo, originally from East Harlem, New York, is majoring in Business, with a minor in gender studies. She has completed several internships at highly esteemed companies and organizations, including Price Waterhouse Cooper, Bertelsmann Inc., and the Manhattan Borough President’s Office, and participates in countless community service and campus activities.

Congratulations, Amanda and Jennifer!
