Business Professor Gunjali Trikha Receives Best Paper Award at Fall 2017 Academy of Business Research Conference

Professor Trikha’s paper was voted as one of the best submitted at the ABR Conference held during September 18-20, 2017.

Gunjali Trikha, Assistant Professor of Marketing at MMC, received the Best Paper Award at the Academy of Business Research Fall 2017 conference in Atlantic City, NJ. Her paper titled “The Millennial, Digital Gig Economy,” focuses on the challenges that gig economy employees encounter and discusses potential solutions and strategies to address them. The gig economy is a labor market where workers are hired often on a temporary basis, with titles such as “consultants” or “freelance workers.” Professor Trikha’s paper outlines how socially-minded Millennials are working to change the current conditions of the gig economy.
