Todd Heilman Named Vice President for Enrollment Management

The Trustees of Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Todd E. Heilman as MMC’s Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM).

Previously Dean of Enrollment at Pace University, with campuses in New York City and Westchester County, N.Y., Heilman brings more than twenty years of senior leadership experience to MMC.

“Marymount Manhattan stands out among small liberal arts colleges nationally for providing a versatile, personalized education that leverages the limitless resources of a world-class city,” said MMC President Kerry Walk, Ph.D. “Todd Heilman’s background in promoting a high-quality college education in a dynamic urban environment is invaluable. His collaborative leadership style, understanding of student needs, commitment to diversity, and creative approach to marketing make him a perfect fit for MMC.”

At Pace, Heilman was responsible for all facets of the University’s admission offices, including undergraduate, graduate, transfer, and international enrollment. He provided strategic enrollment leadership, spearheading enrollment growth through substantially increased counselor visits to high schools, early decision applications, prospective and accepted student attendance at campus events, and innovative enrollment marketing strategies. He also closely partnered with academic deans and departments on both domestic and international recruitment efforts.

“I am thrilled and honored to be joining the leadership team at Marymount Manhattan College. It was evident from the moment I stepped on the College’s Upper East Side campus that this is a truly special and unique institution deeply rooted in its mission of preparing creative, action-oriented students to make a positive impact in our world,” said Heilman. “MMC has great momentum, and I look forward to partnering with a talented faculty and staff to attract and retain a diverse student body from across the U.S. and around the world.”

Prior to Pace, Heilman spent 12 years at St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y., where he was the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Operations and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). At St. John’s, he oversaw strategic planning for admissions, enrollment services, and university-wide CRM functions. His many accomplishments at St. John’s include significantly increasing student enrollment, designing financial aid modeling to focus on predictive model results, implementing a CRM system to support recruitment strategy, and establishing a center for student services.

Heilman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at SUNY-New Paltz and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management at Villanova University, in Philadelphia. He gained significant experience in the corporate sector before transitioning to a successful career in higher education.

“The entire Marymount Manhattan community welcomes Todd Heilman to our campus,” said Walk. “We have tremendous confidence in his ability to provide the kind of team-oriented and forward-looking leadership that will help ensure the College’s success far into the future.”
