On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, MMC Career Services held its 3rd Annual Career Summit.
The Annual Career Summit is a full day professional and career development conference for students. At the event, students had the opportunity to network with employers, learn about career industries, and prepare for future success.
This year, Kimberly Brown, Founder of Manifest Yourself, kicked off the summit as the keynote speaker. In her presentation titled, Take Control: Managing Your Career as a Millennial, Brown listed behaviors society has accepted, including being late, not doing proper research, and asking for help before brainstorming solutions.
After the keynote, students broke into industry specific employer panels including business, performing arts, arts management, medical, nonprofit, and media production then could continue conversations during the networking lunch in the Commons. During this lunch, students had the opportunity to not only discuss job opportunities in the future but, have questions about their future industry answered. Employers in attendance included Avon, CNBC, Merrill Lynch, Sesame Street Studio, and more.
Thank you again to all the industry professionals who spent the day at MMC!
